Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actor and songwriter who hails of Los Angeles was born in 1983. The actress is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and his granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. The majority of her childhood was spent with her in Los Angeles, before she relocated to Brooklyn. Her father is of Afro-Panamanian origin, and her mother of Mexican as well as British Isles ancestry. Thompson has attended Santa Monica High School, where she played in various theatre productions. After graduation, she enrolled at Santa Monica College, where she earned a master's degree in cultural anthropology. As part of a show at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she performed the role of Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo as well as Juliet". It was her performance that earned her the NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Tessa appeared on TV for the first time in 2005. The show she starred in was on a CBS Series.
